William Durham
“What They See is What They’ll Be” - 100 Black Men
We continue our “Spring Forward” theme with one of Indiana's most inspiring civic leaders, William Durham, who serves as the Executive Director of 100 Black Men of Indianapolis. With servitude at the helm of all he does, William has given his career to the nonprofit sector for over 20 years.
He is a native of Indianapolis and a proud graduate of Pike High School. He earned his BA in Business Administration from Morehouse College and his MPA in Nonprofit Management from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. In 2016, William was selected as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and was in the inaugural Woodrow Wilson MBA Fellowship in Educational Leadership Program at Indiana State University where he earned his MBA in Educational Leadership.
His devotion to education and guidance led him to the Executive Director position of 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc., a youth development organization that serves hundreds of Indianapolis youth each year through mentoring-based educational programs. Prior to this position, William was already well-versed in being the driving force for impact, equity, racism, and change for young Hoosiers. He previously worked with the Center for Leadership and Development (CLD) as a facilitator for multiple programs and workshops and as a program coordinator and manager of Alumni Relations. He has also served as School Director for The Excel Center-Meadows and is currently a member of the Indiana State Board of Education.
William’s passion for inspiring our youth's future through mentorship runs deep. His dedication fuels his goal of creating partnerships to support the organization's mission.
