Bigger and Better

The #HerdWordoftheMonth is unbothered, and I just can’t help but think of what that means to me as a new college graduate. Yes, this month, I graduated from college. Like, can you BELIEVE it?! I, Rachon Lucio, received my bachelor’s degree in Journalism, focusing on public relations, and a minor in Corporate and Organizational Communications.

Not only did I graduate college, but I am now employed full-time at Herd Strategies as an Account Coordinator! So yes, you can call me unbothered because at this point not a single person tell me anything about anything! I mean that in a respectful way.

I listened to everyone who stood in my corner all these years, pushing me to reach my full potential and reach the finish line in this chapter of my life. I thank them more than they can imagine. There were also many people who told me I should do something different, find something that pays better, something that will last, and many other things. Had I listened to those individuals, I would not be here today writing this blog and working for a P.R. firm.

I listened to who really had my best interest at heart, and I was unbothered by the naysayers. Walk the path you feel comfortable walking in, regardless of other people’s opinions, because, at the end of the day, everyone has opinions.
