Corey L. Wilson
#HaveYouHerd: For today’s Friday Feature, we look to a good friend of Herd Strategies, who also happens to be an advocate for enhancing the quality of life for Hoosiers. Corey L. Wilson is the Vice President for Community Engagement with Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the Executive Director of the Pacers Foundation. To learn more about Corey and his remarkable achievements, keep on reading.
Corey earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and Master of Business Administration from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. The spirit of volunteerism was instilled in Corey early when at the age of 11, he volunteered with the “Shoes for Children Program” at his church. This experience helped chart his course as a servant leader.
Currently, he is the Vice President for Community Engagement with Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the Executive Director of the Pacers Foundation. He is responsible for positively impacting the quality of life for families throughout our city by building authentic relationships, particularly in communities that have experienced poverty and injustice. He creates strategic solutions that are focused on the areas of education, health & wellness, corporate citizenship, and female empowerment.
While Corey has already accomplished so many incredible feats, he still has big goals he would like to achieve. “I am laser-focused on developing a structure in the next 12 months for Pacers Sports & Entertainment that leverages our brand and talent to support intentional generosity in intentional geography”.
Corey also has advice for those in pursuit of their own goals. “Use the power of your network,” he said. He also noted an African proverb by an unknown author that helped him with his growth: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
Thank you, Corey, for your time and commitment to improving our community in many ways. To keep up with Corey, you can follow him on LinkedIn (Corey L. Wilson).
