Celebrating My Portion

I’m Selena-- Wife, Mom, Account Manager, Fitness Enthusiast, and Entrepreneur. Last week Rachon discussed his oops moments. Reading his blog got me thinking; some may say that my plate is full, and while it is, I’m celebrating my portion and remembering that I once prayed for this!

I won’t lie, sometimes it gets overwhelming, and I cry about it. But after I wipe my tears, I thank God and pray for the daily capacity to manage it all. I’ve recently added that to my prayer list: capacity. My friend, prayer, and accountability partner, whose plate looks a lot like mine, shared that with me, and I couldn’t help but sit there at that moment and ask God for the same thing. While Grace, Mercy, and Favor are some of my daily prayers, capacity just seems to hit differently. After all, I don’t think God would have blessed me with all of this if he thought I wasn’t capable.

My portion is fulfilling, a blessing, a dream, inspiring and beautiful. So today, and every day despite how full my plate is, I recognize that God has blessed me with the capacity to manage it, and for that, I celebrate! Believe it or not, someone out there is praying for what I have.

I encourage you to celebrate your portion. It may look different from someone else’s, and it may feel overwhelming at times. But remember, your portion is yours. Celebrate it!
