Escapade

When I think of the word escapade, I automatically think of college and just how much of an adventure it has been. With just two weeks left in my college career, I’m beginning to find myself feeling a little sad. The entire time you’re in college, you keep thinking about the day when you will finally walk across the stage and bask in the glory of making it! I am excited to say that it’s finally here!

As I look back at the past four years, I think about how much I have gone through. I’ve spent so many nights staying up to the wee hours of the night, working on papers that are due the next day, projects that I had to put in extra work because my partners didn’t do their part, and somewhere in between, finding a moment to get some sleep. There are countless funny stories that would make anyone ask, “What were you thinking.” There are even more that cause me to ask myself the same question. It’s funny to look back and wonder how I was even maneuvering like that.  If you’ve ever been to college then you know exactly what I’m talking about. But when you’re there, it’s simply the norm.

College was an adventure that I would not have changed even for a moment. I learned so much about the field that I am studying, and I’ve learned so much more about myself. I’ve made lifelong friends, colleagues and have met some fantastic people. Everyone has helped me on my journey, and I thank them. If you want to set out on an escapade but you’re scared to do it, just do it. Go for what you want to accomplish. You won’t regret it; I can guarantee you that.
