Mad Love

Over the last month, we’ve discussed the many ways one can celebrate #Pride in our world today. Denise discussed her friend's coming out story, Kierra wrote on the joy she felt for her friends simply being able to live out loud, and Selena shared her love for love.

Sometimes pride can have a negative connotation in terms of being too prideful. Yes, this could be the case for some, but thinking through pride in correlation to the LGBTQ+ community, I have a different thought process. I think pride is a feeling of ownership or accomplishment of something you've done or for someone you know.

Who doesn't want to be FULL OF PRIDE when thinking of the life they LIVE, what they’ve overcome, and the strides they made to be where they are today? Be it LOVE, sexual orientation or a career goal. Being #PRIDEFULL is not something that we should shame each other for; we should be cheering others on for truly being their most authentic selves.
