Additionally, Nicole is moving the needle for the BIPOC community by stressing that skincare is a necessity. "I'm changing the narrative that facials/skin care treatments are a luxury. Simply put, facials are a form of self-care, and an important essential element. I'm proud of us for realizing that self-care is attainable, and we shouldn’t feel guilty for caring for self. We deserve it!"
She believes that inclusion has played a significant role in the beauty industry. She states, "There weren't too many of us back when I started. It's so exciting to see other women who look like me doing the very thing that I love to do, and it is extremely inviting. I also see women that look like me taking time out for self-care, and that is nothing short of amazing" Yes, yes, and yes! We all know this to be true as the beauty industry shifts to include deeper shades of color, it changes the perception of beauty and the standards.
We asked Nicole to give us a beauty secret; she "recommends starting your anti-aging regimen at the age of 25. As we get older, our skin cells do not turn over as fast as they used to when we were younger. These steps aid in keeping the skin youthful and radiant."
