Homemade Escapades
My family and I have been locked in the house for a whole year! A whole year! I really miss my family and friends and doing some of our favorite activities like going to gymnastics, eating in restaurants, shopping, and traveling! But I am also really enjoying all of the quality time I am getting to spend with my family. We have had to make up our own adventures inside the house to make sure everybody stays safe. In a way, it’s like we are making new traditions. We call them homemade escapades!
Some of my favorite things we do are fort nights in the basement. We get to make tents and forts, pop popcorn in the big popcorn maker machine, watch movies, have dance parties, stay up really late and just be together. I love that. We also have lots of parties. We have parties for everyone’s birthday and half birthday too! We celebrated every holiday with a party. St. Patrick’s Day was my favorite. So was Halloween and the luau on the 4 th of July. We even had a foam party during Spring Break! I want to do that one again.
One thing we do that’s really fun is our escapades around the world. Me and my brother like to pick a different city or country and pretend to meet our parents there for tea. Sometimes we go to Paris (my favorite), New York, Los Angeles, Japan, New Orleans, and the Caribbean. I cannot wait until coronavirus is over. Then I’m taking these escapades on the road and going there in real life! Until then, we have to safe in the house, together. Ok, bye!
