Herd Strategies is a Certified Minority & Women Business Enterprise by the City of Indianapolis, the State of Indiana and a Certified Minority Business Enterprise by the Indiana Minority Supplier Development Council. Through our creativity and expertise, the  Herd Strategies team will get you noticed and provide the results you desire. Denise Herd, the visionary leader of Herd Strategieshas successfully created an integrated marketing and communications company with a proven track record in branding, marketing, public relations, creative design and communications training.  

With an emphasis on developing strategies to strengthen market share, she artfully guides clients through the process of creating brand identities, marketing and public relations campaigns and communications training to elevate brand awareness and consumer loyalty.   With a unique understanding and appreciation of a clients’ Return on Investment (ROI), Herd is often called upon by local and national companies to provide guidance and tools for evaluating marketing and public relations efforts.   Recently, she served as a panelist during the 2013 Integrating Women Leaders Conference, Brand You, moderated by Inside Indiana Business Host, Gerry Dick.

She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Brebeuf Jesuit High School, the Advisory Board of the Harrison College School of Business, the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis Arts Council,  and the Board of Directors, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Villages.  She is a graduate of the United Way Leadership Training and Development Program and the Stanley K. Lacey Executive Leadership Series, Class XXII.  She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Herd is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill Award, the International Association of Business Communicators Epic Award, the Public Relations Society of America Keystone Award,  the Center for Leadership Development “Lis Daily Achievement Award in Mass Media” and the Radio One “Today’s Woman of Excellence” award.  She has also been listed as one of Indianapolis’ Most Extraordinary Entrepreneurs in the Who’s Who in Black Indianapolis and To Her Success – a Tribute to Outstanding Women in Indianapolis.
