Today’s Friday Focus is on the Indianapolis Professional Association (IPA). As one of Indianapolis’ oldest networking and professional development groups, IPA was created to promote and develop African Americans in education, provide career training, and help establish business connections.  Members range from high school students to business professionals.

Last month, IPA held the
2019 Achievement Awards and Youth Empowerment Breakfast to celebrate the
achievements of the top graduating students from IPS and surrounding township
schools. Not only were student recognized for their academic success, but IPA
also celebrated students who overcame adversity in homelessness in order to
graduate high school.

The work of IPA continues to
push members of our community to excel and provide support to professionals
throughout Indianapolis. To learn more about the IPA, visit their website at https://www.ipaindy.org/web/about.html
